Grand Lake Photo Club’s Photo Contest Winners for 2010

Grand Lake Photo Club held its first exhibition contest and show from Sunday July 18th thru July 24th , 2010.  A BIG Thanks goes out to all who participated, our judges and especially to our sponsors; who made this contest possible.  Our sponsors were Bella’s Italian Grill, Designer Imaging, Java Nation – Potter House, Sascha and Kimberly Kellerman, and West Bank Inn.

The judges for our contest were Mike Lamm, Carol Smith, and Shelley Grieshop, all have several years photography and arts experience.  The judging was completed the week prior to the exhibition that was displayed inside the courthouse and was open to the public Monday through Saturday.  There were two divisions, Amateur and Professional with three categories with each division being, original, black & white or sepia and digital manipulation.

People’s Choice chose: “Atlantic Puffin” by Jean Thresher

Grand Lake Photo Club is accepting new members and more information can be found, including the winning photos, on our website at www.grandlakephotoclub.com Winning photos are being displayed this week at Bella’s Italian Grill and Java Nation – Potters House. The Photo Club has already begun planning next years event, begin taking pictures now and plan to join us for next years photo contest.
