Merchant Discounts

We are currently working with several businesses in Mercer and Auglaize County and surrounding communities in order to offer discounts to club members. Savings at local merchants should easily pay for annual membership dues. The list of merchants will be coming soon and those offering discounts will change periodically throughout the year as new businesses discover the value of attracting club members. Typically, there will be discounts on framing, prints, books and general photographic supplies.

Seminars

The membership meets to share their photography, discuss technical and asethetic concerns and occassionally to attend a presentation conducted by an expert in the photography and related fields. These guest speakers provide a seasoned look at areas such as wildlife, floral, portrait and still life photography, as well as journalism, marketing and exhibition print making. The images they show and the expertise they offer create a springboard for member exploration of their own work.

Outings and Activities

During the year, the club organizes photo outings and activities. Some of these are education-based field trips will be led by a recognized authority in photography.Other outings are just an opportunity for members to get together and shoot a specific subject.
