The Farm Project
The Grand Lake Photo Club and the Mercer County Farm Bureau are joining forces for a yearlong photographic journey. The Farm Bureau is asking the members of the club to capture our area’s farms and families in photos. The year in agriculture projects goal is to help capture the spirit, beauty and essence of the farms, fields and people in our county. Members will be able to capture everything from homesteads, crops, people (both young and old) and animals. Several opportunities will be set up throughout the year for the members to be able to snap these important aspects that are apart of all our lives. It is the hope of both organizations that the photos will create a better understanding of the agriculture heritage and traditions that exists here in our county. The Mercer County Farm Bureau plans to put together an exhibit in February of 2012 to display the story our photographers have captured in 2011.
